Taking the relationship to next level was the bravest thing i've ever done. I've been to 2 past relationship that I may say seriously taken by me. But this month was so far the biggest and what i may say "this is it" portion of my life. As though..ladies of my same age would clearly say..'hey, calm down stay cool..just focus..' but not to me "OMG" part was not that far. It was like waking up one morning and realizing.."This time..it was not just a dream or something..it is for real."

"I'm gonna get marry?!" Now that's exaggeration..not until 2010. But He will be taking my hand soon..Now that's the point.



December 28, 2008. At first i thought that my dad was joking when he told me that Lucky and his family must go to our house to have their "pamamanhikan". I went really cold. Nervous..I guess. I even cried. Then i hurriedly went to meet lucky to tell him the news..and he said.."Of course.." Okay, now that made me more cry. lol. Here's from an article..

If in the hustle and bustle of the city, the concepts of harana (serenade), a mahinhin (shy) Filipina woman, and a long panliligaw (courtship) are things of the past, it is reassuring to know that city-savvy people still believe in the age old custom of pamamanhikan.



From the word panik (which means to ascend or to climb a house’s flight of stairs), pamamanhikan is "the asking for the girl’s parents’ permission to wed the affianced pair." The custom symbolizes honor and respect for the parents, seeking their blessing and approval before getting married.Contrary to popular belief, pamamanhikan remains to be an integral part of any couple’s plan, even in a metropolis like Manila.



Now. So literally..ganyan talaga ang meaning nya. This is the first time that our family would be meeting each other after Mama's last days with us. Lucky's cousin will be there..and his sister Rona with Gani..while on my part My dad and mom's brother and sisters will be present plus my grandma and grandpa on mother's side. Ang iniisip ko na lang is paano kami magkakasya sa bahay. lol.



I know that both of us were really excited this time. May iniisip na naman syang surprise pero hindi makuha ng radar ko kung ano yun..haha. Surprise spoiler attack.



Aside from us..I know someone who would really love to be there..Mama. She was the one who told me na kayang kaya nyang pumunta sa bahay namin kahit sya lang ang kasama ni Lucky. But now..i know..even though she will not be there physically.. we know that she will be there with us sa pagpaplano..Mama will always be a major part of this wedding kasi lagi pa din naming naaalala mga sinasabi nya when she was with us.



Now?! counting the days was easy for us. Everything was going so well..And just so happy that there are so many people that was with us..without hesitations.
